2012

Yup I've not been blogging the entire year haha. 

So 2012 is ending, and as planned at the beginning of the year, yes I'm currently in Lasalle doing a BA(Hons) in Music Composition. 

This year has been rather productive I feel. Managed to save up some money while working first part of the year, and also got back on the track of studying music. But then another question at the back of my head now is: What do I do after 3 years? 

Well it clearly seems that Performing for me is now a passion, maybe also to earn some cash while studying, but it's not gonna work out as a lifelong career for me. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE performing. But it seems after banging at that for the past 5 years, it's getting nowhere. So then, what is it I can do? 

I'm looking at a long term goal, and this has been on my mind for a few weeks. This is a goal to leave this country and start fresh somewhere, in a brand new place. I don't dislike this country, maybe just the mentality of "the grass is greener on the other side" haha. Maybe there I can fulfill one of my dreams of starting a music cafe+music school, then have a nice cosy house which costs half the price of the HDB flat that I live in now, drive a car of my choice without having the financial burden of a certificate... Everything seems so perfect. But yes I know it's not easy. And this long term goal is currently aimed at 10 years later. So till then, I'll have to equip myself with the necessary skills and ensure I'm financially stable. 

Maybe one day my goal will change, only God knows. Whatever it may be, for now I just need Focus, on doing what I'm supposed to do. Then I believe it'll all work out fine (:

Gawd there's so much going on right now and everything is jamming up. It's supposed to be school holidays I thought I can take a break with all that teaching stuff and chill abit. But there's so much more to do.

To those who feel that I'm very off-task (those who're helping me out for theory), I'm really sorry for not keeping up with my stuff. I know "busy" sounds like an excuse, I guess it's my excuse to prioritize other things, like gigging, planning lessons and getting busy with soma open house previously.. I know I might not have prioritized correctly since theory exam is in May, but guess that's my choice :/

And for procrastinating for so long, I now have to complete 2 full scores for my Lasalle submission by next tuesday. Deserved it. Need to prepare a class for performance also next week, and a new project to teach acappella ALSO NEXT WEEK. Oh, one more gig next friday. GAWD.

As for why I'm here despite being so busy, well I need a space to rant now else imma explode >.< Please, for those who can, let me breathe a little. I will try to pick things back up slowly. Thanks.

Wow, I haven't blogged in almost a month haha.

Well twitter is sorta like my new blog anyways. Hahah But today has been one of the best wednesdays so far I think. Every other wednesday is just so hard to past and mood-dampening. Had a pretty fun Aca gig this afternoon, though i was still constantly out of tune :/ practice practice! Then after that went to teach. First time I see them so inspired and motivated they even stayed after class to ask questions :D that's mainly why today's worth blogging hehe. And definitely some fruitful filming tonight! A new video will be coming up ;) haha.

 Okay enough said, today was great, for a wednesday. Phew goodnight fellas!

I'm so irritated with blogger, and the tagboard spams zzz. But I don't wanna change blog... Grr.

Anyways, Chinese New Year break is over, and so I'm back to school today teaching. Getting pretty busy nowadays.. Theory exam to prepare for, working on portfolio to submit to Lasalle, working at SOMA, teaching and telemarketing..... Still got *pretty redundant* acappella practs to go for every wed nights zzz. Gotta drop some things to cope well with the rest hmm.

With all of that I still have a big question mark at the back of my head: Is Composition what I really wanna do..? Damn. Why is there no Degree in Music and Audio Tech in Singapore bleaaaaah.

Just realised I'm gonna have to spend damn alot this whole year, because everyone around me is turning 21, including myself T_T but I'm hoping that everyone's 21st can turn out to be fabulous, so don't really wanna get so restricted with the celebrations because of Money bleaah. I know it doesn't have to mean spending alot to make it great, but at least don't wanna get restricted by it.

Work work work, Earn hard, Play hard, Save hard (Idk how really to cope with this three..). But yeah that's the plan till August this year. Then it'll be, study hard, and still try to earn hard. Yup.

Time flies, another week is ending.. Hahah but this has been a busy week (:

Went to KL on wednesday, just for a day. But the day was soooo hectic. Took a plane to KL and then bus and train and bus again to finally reach Sunway Lagoon, in total almost 5 hours to get there, like the amount of time to take a coach down -.- Hahah had A&W for lunch! Then off we went to the theme park, the water park was awesome!! :D hahahah. Then it was dinner and gotta head back to airport already... Too rushing, too tiring. Never gonna go to KL just for one day anymore, longer trips next time definitely!! 

Hahah and yesterday, I finally applied to Lasalle's BA(Hons) in Music Composition. Still having thoughts of majoring in performance... But argh. Just hope I won't regret my decision eventually. Bleaaaaaah.

And Ken's mum said "when he was young he's always wanted to be a police and I kept scolding him cause he's so fat" HAHAH. This Monday he's becoming a Millitary Police, realizing his childhood dream. HAHA

After 4 longgg months it's finally January! And soon enough in less than 12 hours the guys are gonna be tossing their caps at the floating platform :D Though it had probably been a tough journey over the past few months, it's really an honour to be part of a 3000 huge cohort and marching into the floating platform, think alr also hair stand. Heh :D

HAPPY NEW YEAAARR! :D

Okay I'm a day late. Hahah. Have been seeing people post about their New Year Resolutions everywhere... And I've been thinking about mine the past few days too. So here's mine.

Balance is my New Year resolution. To strike a balance between everything in my life. Family, friends, boyfriend, work, passion, money, health. Not gonna be easy to balance all of them up, but I'll try my best.

Hope 2012 will be a great year for everyone! :D
